Simple Mixed Berry Crisp Recipe

An easy mixed berry crisp created with frozen berries for year-round enjoyment. This crisp tastes great with a big scoop of ice cream!

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE TOPPING: – 1/2 cup (65 grams) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled) – 3/4 cup (150 grams) brown sugar – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup (115 grams) cold unsalted butter , cubed into small piece – 1 cup (100 grams) old-fashioned rolled oat FOR THE FILLING: – 5 cups (700 grams) mixed berries , frozen or fresh – 1/3 cup (65 grams) granulated sugar – 1/4 cup (31 grams) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Take a 9-inch round pie plate and coat it with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2

MAKE TOPPING: Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. 

Step 3

Add the cold cubed butter and chop into pea-sized crumbs using a pastry cutter or two forks. Mix in rolled oats and leave aside.

Step 4

MAKE FILLING: Mix the berries, sugar, and flour in a large bowl until coated. Fill the pie plate with the ingredients and distribute it evenly. Top the fruit equally with topping.

Step 5

Bake 40–45 minutes at 350°F until the filling is bubbling and the topping is gently golden brown. Cool on a wire rack after removing from the oven before serving.
