Homemade Peach Cobbler Recipe

Homemade Peach Cobbler has a sweet biscuit topping and delightful peach filling. This simple treat goes well with a big scoop of ice cream! 

INGREDIENTS

FOR THE PEACH FILLING: – 5 cups (825 grams) sliced peache – 1/4 cup (50 grams) granulated sugar – 2 tablespoons (15 grams) cornstarch (or cornflour) – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon FOR THE BISCUIT TOPPING: – 1 cup (125 grams) all-purpose flour , spooned & leveled – 1/3 cup (65 grams) granulated sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 3 tablespoons (45 grams) cold unsalted butter , cubed into small piece – 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon (95 ml) milk – Coarse sugar or granulated sugar , for sprinkling on top (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

FOR PEACH FILLING: After mixing the sliced peaches, sugar, cornflour, and ground cinnamon in a big basin, coat them all. 

Step 3

Scoop onto an 8-inch square baking dish and evenly distribute. Set aside.

Step 4

BISCUIT TOPPING: Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, powdered cinnamon, and salt in a separate basin. 

Step 5

Cut the cold cubed butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry cutter or fork until pea-sized crumbs form. Mix in milk just until incorporated.

Step 6

Scoop spoonfuls of biscuit mixture over peach filling. If desired, sprinkle coarse sugar or granulated sugar.

Step 7

Bake until the filling is bubbling and the topping is golden brown, 40–45 minutes at 375°F (190°C).

Step 8

Cool on a wire rack for 20–30 minutes after removing from the oven, then serve and enjoy!
