Roasted garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs make a delicious garlic confit. We recommend thyme and rosemary sprigs for garlic lovers, but choose your favourite.
INGREDIENTS
– 4large heads garlicseparate the cloves and peel– 1cupolive oil– 2sprigs rosemary– 2sprigs thyme
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP-1
Put the oven on to a temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
STEP-2
Place the garlic cloves that have been peeled, the oil, and the fresh herbs in a small baking dish and stir them together.
STEP-3
When the garlic is ready, stir it occasionally while it is baking until it reaches the desired level of softness.
STEP-4
Approximately one and a half to two hours will be required to complete this task. A soft and yellow in hue, the garlic should have the desired quality.
STEP-5
After removing it from the heat, set it on a wire rack and wait for it to attain a state of complete cooling.
STEP-6
The confit can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks if it is placed in a jar that has been thoroughly cleaned.
STEP-7
While garlic can be used as a spread, garlic oil can be used as a dip. Both of these applications are possible.
