Oven Baked Chicken Breasts Recipe

Oven-baked chicken breasts are juicy and seasoned. This easy homemade dish uses herbs, olive oil or butter, and chicken breasts. It produces the most tender and flavourful meat for salads, sandwiches, and casseroles. This is the best!

Fill a large bowl with 1 quart lukewarm water and 1/4 cup salt to brine chicken breasts. Mix until the salt dissolves. Add the meat to the brine and let sit for 30 minutes.  


The bowl can be covered and refrigerated for 6 hours. Remove from brine and rinse under cold water before cooking. Finally, dry them with paper towels.  


First, heat the oven to 400°F. Next, lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with a couple teaspoons of olive oil.  


Mix salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, basil, parsley, and pepper flakes in a small bowl.  


Rub both sides of chicken breasts with olive oil or melted butter and spices. For optimum absorption, rub well.  


Place chicken in baking dish and bake till 165°F, 25–30 minutes. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing for maximum tenderness.
