Milk Chocolate Mousse Shots Recipe

Milk Chocolate Mousse Shots are creamy, sweet, and gorgeous party energizers.  

INGREDIENTS

– 10ouncesmilk chocolatefinely chopped – 2½cupswhipping creamchilled – 7gramsgelatin – 2tablespoonsof water – 2tablespoonsliqueur or cognac for a boozy version- optional – whipped cream- to garnish – cocoa powder- to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP-1

Heat a kettle of water, melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl over it. Take off heat and leave aside melted.  

STEP-2

Put gelatin and water in a small bowl and let bloom for 10 minutes. In a sauce pan, heat ½ cup of cream till boiling.  

STEP-3

Heat liqueur in a microwave-safe basin for 45 seconds. Mix softened gelatin until dissolved. Stir the gelatin mixture into the cream to fully integrate. Stop cooking.  

STEP-4

Pour half of the cream mixture into the chocolate and stir quickly, then add the remainder and beat until fully blended. Mixture will be glossy and silky.  

STEP-5

Using a stand mixer with the wire attachment, whisk the remaining 2 cups of cream until soft peaks form.   

STEP-6

After the chocolate mixture cools to room temperature, spatula-in the whipped cream.  

STEP-7

Fill shot glasses and tiny jars with mousse. Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours.Top with whipped cream and unseated cocoa powder before serving.
