Easy Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

You can make these small batch chocolate chip cookies whenever you want a cookie without having to make a whole lot.

INGREDIENTS

SERVINGS: 10 COOKIES – 1/4 cup (60 grams) unsalted butter softened – 1/4 cup (50 grams) light brown sugar packed – 2 tablespoons (25 grams) granulated sugar – 1 large egg yolk at room temperature – 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract – 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon (70 grams) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled) – 1/4 teaspoon baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup (90 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chip

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Warm the oven up to 177°F (350°C). Put a silicone baking mat or parchment paper on a big baking sheet and set it aside.

Step 2

Using an electric mixer, mix the butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar in a medium-sized bowl for one to two minutes, or until everything is well mixed.

Step 3

You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times as you mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.

Step 4

Add the salt, baking soda, and flour, and mix just until everything is mixed together.

Step 5

Then, add the semisweet chocolate chips and mix on low speed until they are fully mixed into the dough. Tightly wrap it up and put it in the freezer for 10 minutes to cool down.

Step 6

With a 1.5-teaspoon cookie scoop, place the cookie dough on the baking sheet that has been prepared, leaving some space between each one.

Step 7

Put the cookies in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden brown and the tops are set.

Step 8

After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for 5 to 10 minutes on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way through.
