Easy Churro Popover Recipe

Happy to have bought a good popover pan. A suitable popover pan—what to do? Definitely make popovers! Popovers, a light muffin prepared from thin egg batter, rise to form a hollow shell when baked.  

– 3 cups milk – 3½ cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon salt – 6 egg – non-stick cooking spray – ½ cup butter – 1 cup sugar – 1 tablespoon cinnamon



Microwave milk for 2 minutes until lukewarm. Blend milk, flour, baking powder, salt, and eggs until smooth.


Rest the batter for an hour. No refrigeration required. Preheat oven to 450℉. Spray popover pan well with cooking or baking spray. 


Pour batter into each popover cup close to the brim. Transfer the popover pan to the oven from a baking sheet. 


Bake 15 minutes at 450 F. Lower the oven temperature to 375 F and bake popovers for 25 minutes until golden brown.


Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow plate. Drop popovers to cool until just warm to the touch.


After brushing each popover with melted butter, roll it in cinnamon sugar. Continue with every popover.
