Homemade Pasta Recipe

My favourite 3-ingredient homemade pasta recipe. Mix, roll, boil, and enjoy these noodles that taste better than store-bought.

– 1 cup all-purpose flour – ¼ teaspoon salt – 2 large egg

The flour and salt should be mixed together in a large bowl or on a clean work surface before being added to the mixture.

In the middle of the flour mixture, create a well, and then crack the eggs into the well that you just created.

2

In order to incorporate flour into the eggs, begin by beating them with a fork and then gradually add the flour.

3

Continue adding flour until a dough begins to come together. Initially, the dough will be sticky, so gradually add more flour to it.

4

When the dough won't work with the fork, flour your hands and knead for 5–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

After putting the dough in plastic wrap, give it a half-hour to rest. Dust a spotless surface with a small amount of flour.

6

Roll the dough with a rolling pin until it's 1/4 inch thick or paper thin, as thin as possible.

Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut noodles as wide or thin as you like, trying to keep them uniform.

8

As you finish the dough, cool the noodles on a noodle drying rack or spread them and sprinkle them with flour to prevent sticking.

9

Boil noodles in well-salted water for 2–3 minutes until tender, then serve with your favourite pasta sauce, butter, or cheese.
