Halloween Monster Mash Cookies Recipe

No thanks, Halloween Monster Mash Cookies! Fun, fast, sweet, creepy! DIY chocolate chip cookies with oats, pretzels, chocolate chunks, Halloween M&Ms, and candy eyeballs. Everything about these pretzel-crunch chocolate biscuits is fantastic. Each bite is crispy on the outside but mushy with melting chocolate. 

Ingredient

– 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, at room temperature – 1 cup dark brown sugar – 1/3 cup light brown sugar – 2 large eggs, plus 1 egg yolk – 1 tablespoon vanilla extract – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 2 teaspoons baking soda – 2 teaspoons baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt – 2 cups old fashioned oats – 1 1/4 cups Halloween M&M’s – 1 cup mini pretzel sticks, crushed – 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks – Candy eyes

Warm the oven up to 350° F. Put parchment paper on the bottom of a baking sheet.

Mix butter, brown sugar, and vanilla in a bowl. Beat eggs and egg yolks one at a time until mixed. Add flour, baking soda, powder, and salt. Mix the oats.

Mix in 1 cup M&Ms, pretzels, and chocolate chips. Roll dough into 1/4-cup balls. On prepared baking sheet, space 3 inches apart.

After 8 minutes, rotate the pan and bake for 2 more minutes. Removing the pan, press the remaining M&Ms and candy eyeballs into the cookies. Bake 2-3 minutes.

Cool cookies on the baking sheet after removing from the oven. While on the baking pan, they will cook slightly. Serve warm or cool and keep in an airtight jar for 4 days.
