Ground Turkey Cabbage Skillet Recipe

This customisable Ground Turkey Cabbage Skillet is a healthy midweek dish with high-protein and low-carb. 

– 1 Tbsp avocado oil – 1 medium-sized yellow onion sliced – 1 head green cabbage sliced – 1 lb ground turkey – 3 cloves garlic minced. – 2 to 3 Tbsp coconut aminos* – Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Use a 12-inch deep-rimmed pan or big pot to heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and simmer for 5 minutes to soften.

The skillet will overflow with sliced cabbage, so stir as best you can and cover. Stir occasionally until the cabbage has wilted and liquid is escaping, 10–15 minutes.

Remove the cover and add ground turkey and garlic to the skillet. After browning for a few minutes, split the turkey into tiny pieces and spatula it into the cabbage and onion.

Mix in coconut aminos, liquid aminos, or soy sauce.In a liquid-rich skillet, simmer over high heat, rotating occasionally, until the sauce thickens to your preference.
