Chai Spiced Apple Ricotta Galette Recipe

Chai-Apple Ricotta Galette. Ricotta cheese, Honeycrisp apples, and chai maple syrup atop buttery puff pastry. The easiest and coziest fall dessert is this chai spiced apple and ricotta galette. Delicious, easy, gorgeous, and the perfect warming treat to bake any day of the week.

Ingredient

– 1/2 cup maple syrup – 3 tablespoons salted butter – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger – 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom – 1/4 teaspoon all-spice – 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg – 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 pinch flaky sea salt – 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed – 1/2 cup whole milk ricotta cheese – 4-5 Honeycrisp apples, halved, cored, and thinly sliced – coarse sugar, for sprinkling – vanilla ice cream, for serving

Heat the oven to 400°F. Over high heat, boil maple syrup, butter, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, all-spice, nutmeg, and pepper in a small saucepan. Simmer 2 minutes. Get off the heat. Mix in vanilla and a touch of salt.

Roll puff pastry into a 1/4-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Place the pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet and evenly cover with ricotta, leaving a 1-inch border.

Pour 2 tablespoons spiced maple over the ricotta. Place apples skin-side up over ricotta. Brush or drizzle 2-3 tablespoons spiced maple on apples. Fold pastry edges over apples.

Bake 25–35 minutes till golden brown. It's OK to darken edges. Cool and serve with more chai spiced maple and ice cream. Enjoy!
