Beef Chow Fun

Flavorful marinated beef, bean sprouts, and green onions with tender wide rice noodles and a delicious sweet soy and sesame sauce! Put down the phone—make takeaway at home! 

– 8 ounces beef steak  – 1 tablespoon soy sauce  – 1 teaspoon sesame oil – 1 teaspoon cornstarch – ½ teaspoon baking soda – 3 tablespoons oyster sauce – 2 tablespoons soy sauce – 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce – 2 tablespoons shaoxing wine – 1 teaspoon sesame oil – 1 teaspoon sugar – salt and pepper

Put rice noodles in a large bowl and cover with 4 cups of boiling water. Drain the noodles after 10–15 minutes of soaking. Beef chow fun-making process shots.

Combine the sauce ingredients in another bowl and whisk well. Beef chow fun-making process shots.

Add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil to a wok over medium-high heat. Place marinated beef in a single layer in the wok.

Sear the beef for 2 minutes before stirring and sear for 1–2 more minutes. Place beef on plate. Beef chow fun-making process shots.

Sauté the sliced onion for 1 minute. Add garlic and ginger and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Beef chow fun-making process shots.

Mix the sauce with the soaked noodles in the wok. Mix everything well. Beef chow fun-making process shots.

Return beef, bean sprouts, and green onions to wok. Mix well and stir fry for 2 more minutes to cook the noodles. Serve now.
