Baked Chili Lime Chicken Breasts Recipe

A delicious chilli lime marinade makes plain chicken breasts tender and flavorful! Chilli Lime Chicken goes well with salads, tacos, burritos, and more!


– 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts* – 3 Tbsp avocado oil – ¼ cup fresh lime juice – 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup – 1.5 Tbsp chili powder – 1 tsp garlic powder – ½ tsp sea salt to taste


In a small bowl, mix avocado oil, lime juice, pure maple syrup, chilli powder, garlic powder, and sea salt for the chicken marinade.

Step 1

Place raw chicken breasts and marinade in a large zip lock bag. Seal and swish the bag to marinate chicken. Marinate 1–24 hours.

Step 2

 I recommend marinating the recipe for several hours for tanginess and best results. 

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 350°F before cooking chicken.Place the chicken and marinade in a large casserole, baking dish, or rimmed baking sheet.

Step 4

Pre-heat the oven and bake 15 minutes on the centre rack. Baste chicken with baking dish juices after removing from oven. Spoon juices over chicken breasts.

Step 5

Broil the chicken for 3–8 minutes on high until cooked and golden brown.

Step 6

A 145-degree internal temperature indicates full chicken cooking. Check doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into each breast's thickest part.

Step 7

Rest chicken for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Eat Chilli Lime Chicken Breasts with your favourite sides!
